Brandon + Courtney Strip District Engagement

Brandon + Courtney Strip District Engagement

My amazing Pittsburgh planner friend Emily of Em + E Events sent Brandon and Courtney our way this spring - and when I told them we were starting to integrate some polaroid action into our shooting, they had a brilliant idea. What if we took polaroids during their Strip District engagement session to use as their Save-the-Dates?!

Brilliant idea indeed, but it took waaaay longer than we expected to take all of the instant film exposures needed along with shooting an entire engagement session on a digital camera.

Thankfully, however, it turned out to also be the first shoot where I'd be training our new second shooter Jen. When things got too crazy to handle, this girl stepped in and took a bunch of the instant exposures herself - while still watching me shoot and offering the occasional assistance.

So with my tenacity, the incredible attitude of Brandon and Courtney, and the amazing assistance of Jen (see our Instagram for her intro post!) we were able to take TWO HUNDRED polaroid snapshots and still end up with a ton of killer digital photos.

Finally ready for the world is a selection of our favorite images from this crazy day - with 2 bonus photos of their adorable pup Simba at the beginning.
